Many new Dallas residents may think they need to travel to the suburbs to build a home. But there are plenty of new construction options in Dallas proper. I have compiled a list of builders that are currently building in two of my favorite locations in Dallas. I’m certain there is a perfect fit for any buyer in these areas.
University Place
University Place is all about convenience. Located with easy access to George Bush Turnpike, Dallas North Tollway and Central Expressway, it’s easy to get around. It is a master planned community with access to two top Texas school districts, Plano ISD and Richardson ISD, with a future planned onsite school. Active builders:
Ashton Woods: options include townhomes, 1- and 2- story homes with lots ranging from 40’-60’. Prices will start at $365k, with square footage ranging from 1923-4092.
Beazer Homes: options include 1- and 2-story single family homes on either 40’ or 50’ lots. Prices will start at $453K, with square footage ranging from 2191-3300.
Lennar: options include 1- and 2-story single family homes on 50’ lots. Prices will start at $488k, with square footage from 2054-3490.
Megatel Homes: options include 1- and 2-story single family homes on 40’ lots. Prices will start at $409K, with square footage ranging from 1842-2908.
Lake Highlands
Lake Highlands is a neighborhood located in Northeast Dallas with access to Richardson ISD and a vast amount of private schools. It is has close proximity to Northwest Highway and the beautiful White Rock Lake. Available builders:
David Weekley: options include 2-story single family homes, 2- and 3- story bungalows, and 2- story patio homes. Prices will start at $498K, with square footage ranging from 1779-2881
Hovnanian Homes: options include 2- and 3- story bungalows. Prices will start at 399K, with square footage from 1408-2389.
Coventry Homes: options include 2- story patio homes. Prices will start at 440K, with square footage ranging from 1702-2397.
